You have been appointed as a Relevant Person’s Representative (RPR) to support someone who is being deprived of their liberty under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Some terms we are using:

DoL - Deprivation of Liberty

DoLS - Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards

RPR - Relevant Person’s Representative

MCA - Mental Capacity Act 2005

We want to understand your experience of being appointed to this essential role and whether you feel you have been supported and kept well informed throughout the process of authorising the DoL.
