You have been appointed to support someone who is being deprived of their liberty under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Some terms we are using:

Care Practitioner - Such as a Social Worker / Continuing Healthcare Nurse / Care Co-ordinator etc.

DoL - Deprivation of Liberty

MCA - Mental Capacity Act 2005

Rule 1.2  - The Court of Protection rule number which gives information about when the Court might appoint a representative for a person (a rule 1.2 Representative is appointed to ensure that the person's views are properly considered within this process)
